The AdvoConnection Privacy Policy

(Updated December 2022)

AdvoConnection, operated by Consumer Health Advocacy, Inc., is committed to respecting the privacy and security of our users. Our goal is to provide you with the information, resources, and services that are relevant and helpful to you.

To demonstrate our commitment to your privacy, we have prepared this statement disclosing our privacy practices. Here you will learn what personal identifying information of yours is collected, how and when we might use your information, how we protect your information, who has access to your information, and how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

We will not disclose your information to any person or organization outside AdvoConnection and its parent company and affiliated entities, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect and How We Use It*

When you search for an advocate on AdvoConnection, we collect no personally identifying information from you.

If you fill out a Request to Find an Advocate, we collect the information needed to help you find an advocate. When an advocate from within our network (members of the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates) comes forward to see if they can help you, we provide them with the information you have supplied.

If you fill out a form on an advocate’s listing to ask that advocate to contact you, that advocate receives that information. We do not use that information for any purpose other than to try to enable a connection between you and the advocate and for our own internal analysis to help us understand and improve our services.

If you provide a testimonial to be included on one of our members’ listings, we may use your email address to contact you in order to confirm that you sent the testimonial. We will not contact you except for that purpose. Your email address will not be published publicly, nor will we share it with the advocate for whom you wrote the testimonial.

If you provide a complaint about an advocate, we will only share that information with the advocate in question. Complaints may be shared with other advocates, but at no time will your name or personal information be shared.

How We Protect Your Information

Your information is not stored on any publicly accessible servers and therefore cannot be accessed by anyone who would use it for reasons other than your intent to find an advocate.

*No advocates located outside the US or Canada are found in this directory; therefore no searches should be undertaken by anyone located in any other country.

Who Has Access to the Information?

In addition to the use of your contact information described above, your information will be shared in the following ways:

  • as required by law, in a matter of public safety or policy, or as needed in connection with the transfer of other business assets. In compliance with U.S. law

  • with other Consumer Health Advocacy, Inc. entities or sites

  • as needed in connection with the transfer of business assets

AdvoConnection does not share information with any unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes.
